Citrus Study
ARTIST OF INSPIRATION
What do you see in her designs?
Repeated Objects in various forms.
Transparent and Opaque overlapping each other.
Color Schemes in each piece.
What would you do if you had her style?
You can pick your subject (advanced classes)
or you can go with
Lemons as your subject (like below).
Study the anatomy of a citrus fruit.
Going over vocabulary will help out more when drawing the fruits.
Slice, wedge, segment, zest, pulp, walls, etc.

LET"S GET STARTED
Drawing the same object in various forms,
Playing with transparency and solid forms of the object.
Layering the object on the paper.
1. Choose a COLOR SCHEME
Pick 3-4 colors you want to use for your picture.
2. Choose your paper color.
Use white or a color that is in your scheme.
3. Draw an assortment of citrus with pencil in variations of Slices, wedges, or whole.
4. Outline them with marker in colors of your scheme.
If white, use a Prisma Color white.
5. Draw same citrus blend on colored or white paper.
Outline with a marker, cut out and glue down to background paper.

Alternative Method
Drawing on white paper. Outline with Sharpie.
Highlight with non washable white crayon. Online with washable markers.
Paint with wet brush...

Another idea...
Leave the lemons black, white and grey.
Use marker to add spots to the background and do a water brush blend.
Looks beautiful.
