Color Blending

Before you can correctly and smoothly blend colors, 

you must know about VALUE.

If you are my student, you have learned how to make a 

Smooth, Even, and Contrasting Value Scale. (S.E.C.)

We may have used this sheet to practive. 

Now we are blending colors together starting with VALUE scales. 

Before you start blending, you have to know how to choose the right colors. 

YOU NEED TO KNOW... 

Colors have VALUE. 

Some colors are darker and some are lighter.

YOU MUST KNOW COLORS have FAMILIES. 

Colors that are closely related on the color wheel blend well together. 

This means ANALOGOUS colors and TINTS/SHADES/ with their original HUES.
