SKETCHING
First students will practice with drawing the shapes and details of the Alpaca's face.
When they are comfortable, we will move to the final paper.


DRAWING
Face can be drawn in upper half of paper to show off the long neck.

Start lightly with a pencil (always)
Then when it looks how you like it, go over with marker or make lines darker.

COLORING
Students will color alpaca using oil pastels or crayons. They need to use at least three colors blended on the entire alpaca.

The edges need to be colored the hardest (for later resist purposes).
Students will be encouraged to color Alpaca in unnatural colors.

PAINTING
The background will be painted in colors or patterns that will help EPHASIZE the alpaca face.
Horizontal design in contrast to the vertical body or colors opposing the color wheel.

Cow Skull

BEGIN
with a Symmetrical half Drawing in pencil.

Fold thin newsprint paper in half. Draw one half of cow skull on fold of paper lightly with a pencil. 

Online half of skull with permanent black market. While folded, Trace other half of skull on empty side of newsprint. 


Go over pencil with permanent marker. 
------
Transfer image with light box or window into a sturdier piece of drawing paper. Use pencil, then marker. 

Build accessories onto skull; 
feathers, flowers, leaves. 
Use colored pencils to add extra shadows to skull on color to accessories.

Draw in 3-D pot forms lightly with pencil. 

Draw in plant forms lightly with pencil.

Draw in pot designs using contour lines with pencil lightly. 

Outline with permanent black marker. 

Color hard with crayons (non-was able)

I add dark colors first on bottom of plant forms... 

Then add in lighter greens at top. 




Color in pots. Be creative. 

Add in soft blue shadow beneath lots with blue crayon. 

Use watercolor to dot in top of sunset. 

Use warm colors to dot in sun spot on sunset.
