COMIC VOCABULARY
Frame- A box in a comic. 
Border- The area around the comic that separates the frames.
Bubbles- a round oval with a tail, leading to a person or an inanimate object. 
Sound Words- onomatopoeia
Action Lines- lines to show movement around objects or people. 
White Space- unused space in a comic

PLANNING
Character Development Plans for Main Characters
Have a variety of ideas to use. Try a person, object and animal. 
You will end up choosing one of these for your final comic. 



Expressions and Angles of Main Character
Show your character with 4 various facial expression relevant to personality. 
Show your character from front, back and side.

4. Layout Frames for Entire Comic Strip
-first frame with intro picture, strip name and title, author's name
-no blank spaces/empty areas
-all capital letters
- words BEFORE bubbles (no cramming words)

Final before color...
-do NOT color speech bubbles.

You can pick a color scheme using 3-5 colors in your comic. 
This will make it more challenging to make new colors, but also simpler and faster.
