What is a BATIK?
A method of applying wax (crayon) to an absorbent surface (cloth or paper) and using waterbased ink or paint to absorb into the negative areas containing no wax.
Take Notes.
-Criteria
Draw at least one pumpkin with contour line.
Draw 3 or more fall inspired items.
Show depth and space with overlapping.
Show form with light source and values.
Fill up space.
Outline with Permanent Marker.
Color HARD with crayons.
Complete crumbled tempera technique.

FIRST,
Practice your pumpkins.
Begin with pencil.
Color HARD with crayons.
Do not use washable crayons, crazy Art or RoseArt.
Anything you want WHITE, color with white crayon,
Think outside the Crayon Box...
Have fun with unique color combinations.
Example:
-use color darker compliments for shading
-use cool colors for shading and warm colors for highlights
-use analogous colors for creating highlights.
