Art with A Purpose, AfterSchool Faith Art Program

Art With A Purpose
was created to give kids a place to share their faith in God using their gifts from God.
Romans 12:1
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper worship."
Whether you paint, draw, doodle, design, knit, or whatever...
How can you do it for His Kingdom?
OUR PURPOSE:
Create for your Creator, Make for your Maker.
Give back to the Giver.
If God gave you the talent, use it for Him.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
This is a page from my illustrated testimony, called SUPERTAB!
It is my Christian Autobiographical Comic... read here...

Faith is Implied
Faith is believing in things you cannot see...
We created a banner based on these old signs
that "say" JESUS...
The Design Plan

 The Banner

 Iron Crosses
Using a cardboard base, sting and beads for 3D design, and plummer's tape for covering and black paint for "aged" look.

MY CROSS
A personal way of showing what the cross means to you...

WHAT IS FAITH? Banner
using clear tape to show "faith"...
illustrates the definition given to us in the Bible.

 "Junque" Crosses

The Cross Banner
2008-2009
Showing with Red and Black what is in the cross and what is not.
We began by making a list of what we feel the cross means.
What does Jesus do for us?
These things should be red...
Whatever was the opposite we did in black.
This was done with 36 pieces of typing paper puzzled together into the poster.
Individual Images withing the Banner
