Element of your Nature Study
Draw the further perspective of your nature spot on larger paper.
Draw the Closer magnified perspective of your nature items on circle paper.
Use darker and lighter colors to create shading on your drawing.
White can be added to show highlights on the colored paper.
SHOW DEPTH using Visual Perspective Techniques:

Krissie Barker 8th grade/2021

Detail can be added to objects that are closer to you.

Alternative to cutting out circles from other paper.
You can trace circles onto your paper and magnify the area with a detail of your surroundings.

Using Visual Perspective techniques will add depth to your landscape.
Try using softer pressure and less detail when you draw the background landscape to make it appear further away.
Add harder pressure and more detail to the larger foreground object.

Examples of Nature Study Illustrations from Google Images:
Some are up close to show details better.
They are done with monotone colors.
Shading is added to add dimension.

------------HOW TO CREATE THE IMPRESSION OF -----------
IMPRESSIONISM

The idea is creating sections of different colors in a contour of movement.
The colors swirl and bend with the objects in the landscape.

Learn about CLAUDE MONET and the IMPRESSIONISTS here...

Keep Van Gogh's Starry Night in mind...
The lines in the sky swirl, the lines in the tree wave, the lines in the mountains follow each other.

Start by creating a simple line landscape with a pencil.
Add contour line color to each object with different tints and shades of marker (non-permanent).

Eduardo (7th grade) finds multiple landscape ideas and makes mini- sketches before he settles.

Continue filling in each object contour line until done (like below).

Mikayla and Olivia adding contour lines to the landscape with marker.

When you are done with contour line, get a cup of water and a large paintbrush.

Cover each area of the drawing with water until it smears and blends together.
Let Dry.

Miguel is adding water to his lines to smear the colors together.

Using a permanent black marker, circle each area where the color changes in the least bit.
This will take a lot of patience.
