This video shows the steps of Overlapping Pipes.
Add depth and space to the picture by overlapping & changing size or pipes.
Use a ruler to make larger pipes in front,"Foreground ",
medium pipes in "Middleground"..
and Smaller pipes in the "background".
Look up ideas and images for details to add to pipes.
Here are a few I found...
Use "contour "curved line to make pipes appear 3D.
Use pencil to make thick shading around the outside of the pipes.
then use a blending stump to bring it further in .
use shading where pipes overlap as well for "cast shadows".

We used grip paper that year, which is a great idea, but it you want to do the marker dot technique, you need a heavier multi-purpose paper.
