I finished this color pencil work as a result of a painful experience.
I use my art as a healing process to get the pain out from the inside.
It did take a while for me to be able to tackle the issue and find good through it.
But all the while I stayed in communication with God, asking for guidance.
That is the most important thing to remember, to always talk to your Father...
It is so amazing how God takes our hurt and brings us closer to Him through it all.
We go through hard time and cannot understand why we, as Christians, have to hurt.
God never promised we would not hurt, but he does promise to never leave or forsake us.
As we are tested in life with storms, we can choose to cling to our Father or flee from Him.
If we choose to cling, he will hold us and in turn we will grow closer to Him.
Just as a hurt child will call out for thier mother, we should call out to Jesus and run to the shelter of His wings.
No matter how much we cry, His tears will always be bigger than ours.
No matter how many puddles our tears make, he will produce growth from them (the flowers).
God will use our blessings (newborn baby) to soothe us in the storm and give us songs of peace
through our time.
