Fauves-
in 1820's B&W photography was invented. After photography became a new common art form, artists had to give the world what black and white photography could not.
1874- Impressionism started. Non realistic art form. This movement started in 1905 in France.
Fauvism is considered a branch of Impressionism. Fauves, means "Wild Beasts" in French. This style uses unnatural strong lines and vivid, bold, abstract colors with natural subject matter.
Movement started by Henri Matisse, Andre Derain.

-Draw 3 or more Ordinary objects around the art room together in 1 setting,
making your picture a Still Life. Fill up the space (75 % or more),
limiting the background. area
EMPHISIZE/ OUTLINE:
Use colors that are NOT NATURAL to the objects.
Outline and emphasize with a color that is not ordinary.
COLORS
- Fully COLOR the art.
You can Use mixed media:
Markers. Crayons, Colored pencils, watercolor, oil pastel, pastel.
-DO NOT use ordinary colors.
DO NOT outline with black.
Hue Help: I chose a limited amount of bright colors to use for the one piece
to keep me from using the natural colors.
