The above illustration by Lisk Feng
shows a seascape in a bubble.
Outside the bubble is another world or dimension.
She uses elements of the world in the bubble to connect to the world outside.

Here is another illustration by Lisk Feng showing two different ideas in and outside the bubble.

USE OF COLOR
THis other image by Lisk Feng shows how you can use color choices to change a mood.

HOW I USED HER IDEAS TO INSPIRE MY OWN ART...

I used the idea of the 2 worlds in and out of the bubble for my piece above.
I also used 2 multiple lessons from my Art 1 classes:

JellyFish

Mono Chromatic Hot Air Balloons

LET'S MAKE ART
To Begin:
Find a colored paper to use for bubble.
Use a large circle to trace.
Find color that will work well on your paper.
I chose to use a mono-chromatic scheme.
WHatever colors you use, try to keep it mostly in the family of the paper.

Begin drawing a landscape inside the bubble.
Start off light and get darker as you are happy with the outcome.
Make sure you have a horizon line to divide the sky and ground.
How can you add depth and space to the drawing?
Overlapping, size, position, value?
Look here for ideas...

http://tabithaannthelostsock.blogspot.com/2013/02/visual-perspective-atc-art-trading-cards.html

Begin using the colors you chose for the bubble to add dimension to your shapes.
Leave some areas of original paper showing through.

When you are done, cut our bubble and glue to a larger paper that contrast with the bubble color:
color compliment or warm/cool.

Begin drawing you idea for the world outside your bubble.
Use at least 3 areas in the drawing to link together the 2 worlds;
sharing a horizon line, connecting a shape, morphing an object into another object.

Choose colors that will work well with the background paper.
Leave some color exposed in the background.
You are done.

DESIGN IDEAS

-----DESIGN IDEAS FROM OTHER RESOURCES-----

Use basic shapes or a radial design...
kippmoartresources (click to see site)

Draw things in a circle and color them according to the wheel...

Mrs. Highsmith's Class (click to enter website)
I like how it is just a collage of drawings and each slice the colors are changed.

Ms. Mack's Art Classroom
Does this look familiar?

@ggbizzle

Complete worksheet using the material you chose.
Draw sketch in top portion of what you want to do.

YOu will practice making tints and shades of all 12 hues with chosen material.
Use black softly along the “shade” scale at bottom.
I used colored pencils...

Go over shade hard with the hue, use the hue hard for middle, and use hue lightly for tint.

I show you here how to make a tint and shade of orange by using pressure to blend with black.

THen you will plan out how you will do your color wheel.
I chose to do bursts of Crystal Gems. You can too...

http://tabithaannthelostsock.blogspot.com/2017/04/crystal-gem-creations.html
If you are using COLORED PENCILS,
Finish your tints and shades on your worksheet...

But if you are using watercolors, practice your tints and shades on the final paint paper.
Here I am using WATERCOLOR PENCILS

It is helpful (if using CRAYONS , colored pencils,  or markers)
To arrange your color in order while you work.

MONOCHROMATIC WATER DROPS

MOMOCHROMATIC HOT AIR BALLOONS

Using only ONE COLOR plus black and white.

Using techniques from previous lessons :
Contour Line and Perspective.
